I need help for custom tele electicity...
This is 1st time I' do this, my pastor knows that I learn to build guitar, so he told me to repair that his custom tele guitar,...
what should I do? or do you suggest me for the post topic or web : how to begin to check where the problem or to repair it.
I did for refretting this guitar with evo gold fret from LMI but that condition of electricity: NO SOUND AT ALL...

Herry. Pictures if you can, controls, pickups, etc , and check to see if any wires are loose anywhere. Check to see the resistance of the pickups with a multi metre. One probe to each wire end. If there is a reading, the Pickups are OK. No reading, you may have broken coils. Check all th sloder connections, and check AGAIN for any loose wires.

Did the guitar work when you got it for the re-fret?

Wait, I thought this was Duh Padma! It's actually a a gentleman from Indonesia who doesn't speak English very well LOL!

I'm sorry man.

First thing you want to check is the jack. Second thing is the switch. Third thing is to make sure no hot wires are soldered to grounds. Fourth thing is to make sure no ground wires or shields are touching hot pot or switch tabs accidentally. Fifth thing is check to make sure you didn't melt the pickup cable shielding and accidentally ground the inner wire to the pickup shielding. Sixth thing is to make sure the jack hot tab isn't touching anything shielded to ground.
These things can be checked in any order.
There's probably more that I missed.

Also check to make sure if you are using one of those braided shielded wires (from Stewmac) that the wire didn't break causing bad connections... had this happen before.

I remembered when I refretting I did not release all of the cable , so maybe they shocked , but thank's alot I 'll do your suggestion for checking all the cable.

That's my fault, that I don't check before hehe...

Oh, Herry, always plug them in and test them, while the customer is there, so you can't be blamed for something that is not your fault.....

If you take your time and trace the wire paths, you should find a place that doesn't look quite right, and then you have a place to start.....

Theguitarwisperer's suggestions are all places I would look. Good luck, tracing a tiny fault can be hard, but I am sure you can find it....

How did you do the re-fret? did you remove the neck? I can't think that you caused the problem if you did. If you re-fretted with the neck on, I would bet you loosened a solder joint, so check all of them......

Yes Nick, I didn't remove the neck when I do the re-fret.. I 'll soon to check all the solder joint... thank's alot..

Problem solved ,... thank's OLFers ,... the cable of the jack was loose, so I solder again and DONE, the sound is back
